Two Wonderful Halloween Books

*Alright... for some insane, no sense to it at all reason some of my photos are turned on their sides. I've redone them 4 times now and the just keep flipping! They are not even flipped in my photo gallery. So what the heck?! blogger weirdo thing I guess.
Sorry, I guess we'll just have to turn our heads sideways for now. I'll try to rotate them again later. Now back to the regular scheduled post.

These are two really wonderful Halloween books!
The first one is Bethany Lowe's Folk Art Halloween. I love this book from one of my favorite artist! It's filled with Halloween projects both cute and vintage. There are pages of clip art and patterns. It has everything from paper crafts to sewing projects.
I love this table runner! ... turning head sideways.

This tinsel tree is so cute, love the old witch boot for the base.

The next great book is Vintage Halloween Collectibles/An Identification and Price Guide 2nd edition.
I had so much fun browsing through this book, wishing I had some of these vintage Halloween pieces. These candles are from the 1960's. We used to have a ghost and a witch candle when I was young... wishing I still had them.

This book is huge! Loaded with all kinds of goodies for the Vintage Halloween lover. Everything from lanterns, shakers, games, and decorations.

Okay... cracking neck back in place... geesh!

I found both of these books at the library... I high recommend you check them out.

One of these days you'll make a book of your own, Anet.

I've had the picture thing happen before, too. Not sure what's up with that, lol!

Hmmm... must be someone in the spirit world who doesn't those pictures posted right side up!
I love those old shaped cardboard decorations. I was lucky enough to find a few at the thrift store a while back. Hoping I can score a some more and make a set.

Oooh, how cool! I know that next time I go to the library, I'll be looking for Halloween books. Are these 2 newer or older? I wonder if I can find them there (what are the odds that the library also has "Halloween" by Silver Ravenwolf? LOL).

In fact, I MAY even start going through the box marked "Samhain Decorations"... Like, now.

Hey Wendy,
Yes, these are new books.
I was wondering yesterday if
Sept. 1st would be too early to start decorating. I usually wait until Oct. 1st.
Maybe I'll split the difference and do it around Sept. 15th:)

Halloo m'dear. Are you uploading images directly to Blogger, from off of your computer? If so, then Picasa is turning the pix -- go to yr Picasa account (everyone who has Blogger has one already) and turn them there, then use the URL there to place in yr post...if it isn't Picasa doing the mischief, then I guess it's just those Google Gremlins...

I love that book! Must get a copy of it!!!
