Fall Equinox, also known as Mabon, occurs in the middle of September.
This year it is September 22nd. Tomorrow!
A beautiful way to celebrate the Autumnal Equinox is to decorate your door, mantel or a table top. Colors are Orange, Dark Red, Yellow, Indigo, and Brown. It is the festival of thanksgiving. The time of harvest. The Ojibiwa celebrate Thanksgiving twice a year. During the Spring, when the maple sap runs, melting away the winter. Also in the fall, during harvest time.
Select the best of each vegetable, herb, fruit, nut, and other food you have harvested or purchased and give it back to Mother Earth with prayers of thanksgiving. I love finding new ways to honor my family's heritage. Let the celebrating begin!
Hang dried ears of corn around your home in appreciation of the harvest season.

I like your celebrating ideas, especially the dried corn. I have a "nature table" too (really just the top of an old cabinet) and I put all sorts of seasonal things on it. Got my eye on some sweetgum balls just about to fall, so that I can have a bowl of them, too!
So pretty, Anet!!!!! I am looking forward to some autumn weather, but the forecast for tomorrow is in the 90s!!!! So no sweaters yet! I will be decorating, though! Thanks for the suggestions!

This picture puts me in the mood for autumn/fall... but then our temps remind me we are still having summer. Beautiful colors. Is there anything better than fall leaves.
